Group 6 - ono

We are spending the term focusing on our fractions. Can you see us trying to break 36 into different groups. we now know: 1/3 of 36 = 12 (because 3 groups of 12 is 36 or 3 x 12 = 36) 1/2 of 36 = 18 (because 2 groups of 18 is 36 or 2 x 18 = 36) 1/6 of 36 = 6 (because 6 groups of 6 is 36 or 6 x 6 = 36) 1/4 of 36 = 9 (because 4 groups of 9 is 36 or 4 x 9 = 36)

Group 3 - Toru

Here we are using the arrow cards to learn how to read and write two and three digit numbers. Can you see we could make 160 and could match it with the correct cards :-)

Group 4 - wha

Here we are shaking our counters "shake it up, shake it up, oh oh oh.." to make 10,

Group 1 - Tahi

The fantastic Group 2 - Rua

Here we are making sets of 5

'Figuring' each other out...

Today we met our Term 1 groups. We learnt about each other in numbers. It was lots of fun, have a go at home... - Some great ideas: 'what is your shoe size?' 'how many letters are in your name?' 'how many pets do you have?' 'what is the number of letters in their church's name?'
