Here group Toru is using the book 'one is a snail' to find how many legs it would take to make 28.
These are the girls favourite combinations- they found over 5 different ways.
I am proud to see them using multiplication instead of repeated addition and finding a variety of ways. Keep it up girls!
I liked using my times tables to make the number 28.
ReplyDeleteLike 2 spiders is 16; 8 + 8 = 16 legs
or 2 groups of 8 is 16
or 2 x 8 = 16
Well said Sienna, I'm glad you can record all the different ways to make 16 too.
DeleteFelicia learnt we can use picture books to do our Maths and you can make numbers in many different ways.
ReplyDeleteI love using picture books and lots of different visual ways to help us with our Maths.
