Group Rua's Word problems- give them a go!

Write the maths 'number' story to match:

Ellie:
At breakfast my family and I ate two pieces of toast with jam.  There are 5 people in my family.  How many pieces of toast altogether?

Antony:
Five children left their glasses behind.  How many eyes were finding it hard to see?

Amy:
In the morning me, my two sisters, dad and mum had weetbix. We had 10 weetbix altogether, how many do we eat each?

Hollie:
In my family I have 5 people. We had 2 weetbix each, how many did we eat altogether?

Ashton:
I had 2 pieces of toast for breakfast and I like toast!  If I ate 2 pieces each school day.  How many pieces would that be altogether?

5 people with 2 weetbix each, that means there is 10 altogether.
    5 x 2 = 10 from Hollie.

    It is like 5 groups of 2 is 10. You can also say 2 x 5 = 10.

Ashton it is 2 x 5 = 10. Becuase he had two pieces of toast in each school day and there are 5 days in a school day.

    Amy's question:
Her family eats 10 weetbix each day, they have two each because there are 5 people in their family.

    10 divide by 5 is 2.
